			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="line-height: normal" class="Apple-style-span"><span style="font-family: Verdana" class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 14px">On National Adoption Day,</span></span><span style="font-family: Verdana" class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 14px"> courts in all 50 states open their doors to legalize the adoptions of thousands of children from foster care and to celebrate and honor all families that adopt. In Massachusetts, on November 21st,  hundreds of children, parents, judges, lawyers, adoption professionals and child advocates celebrated National Adoption Day. Erin volunteered her services and photographed the process and the new families on this very important day in their lives in Hadley. This unique collection of photographs captures the intricate details of the home and history of this influential American. Webster is best known for writing the </span></span><em><span style="font-size: 14px" class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana">American Dictionary</span></span></em></span><span><span style="font-size: 14px" class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana">, but he also advocated for universal education, the abolition of slavery, and national copyright law.  He published a groundbreaking work on epidemics, edited dozens of publications, co-founded Amherst College and wrote many influential books. </span></span></span></span></p>

This unique collection showcases the distinctive town spirit of West Hartford.</span></span><span><span style="font-size: 14px" class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana">  </span></span></span><span style="font-size: 14px" class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana">Erin explores the intriguing architectural details, scenic landscapes and artifacts of this historic town. Subjects include Elizabeth Park landscapes, intricately carved headstones from the town’s oldest cemeteries, and antique artifacts. Erin also captured details of the town’s industrial history through the architectural features of several manufacturing buildings still in use that were built at the turn of the previous century.</span></span><span><span style="font-size: 14px" class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana">  </span></span></span><span style="font-size: 14px" class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana">This collection encourages viewers to consider those, from both past and present, who have contributed to create West Hartford’s beauty and character.</span></span></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-family: Verdana" class="Apple-style-span">The Heart Gallery  is an exhibit o f portraits of children in the state&#8217;s foster care system in need of adoption. Each year Erin volunteers to photograph a child that had been waiting at least one year to find a family to call their own. The goal of the Heart Gallery is to raise awareness about adoption and foster care as well as to find adoptive homes for the more than 500 children in Massachusetts who are waiting.
