The museum celebrates the birthplace of Noah Webster through the lens of photographer Erin Tierney Chrusciel in the exhibit “Noah Webster East Longmeadow photographer, Erin Chrusciel’s exhibit “Noah Webster House: A Different Angle” is currently open to the public at the Noah Webster House and Museum. This unique collection of photographs captures the intricate details of the home and history of this influential American. Webster is best known for writing the American Dictionary, but he also advocated for universal education, the abolition of slavery, and national copyright law.  He published a groundbreaking work on epidemics, edited dozens of publications, co-founded Amherst College and wrote many influential books. 

Erin book of photographs, “This New England Town: West Hartford” will also be on display. This unique collection showcases the distinctive town spirit of West Hartford.  Erin explores the intriguing architectural details, scenic landscapes and artifacts of this historic town. Subjects include Elizabeth Park landscapes, intricately carved headstones from the town’s oldest cemeteries, and antique artifacts. Erin also captured details of the town’s industrial history through the architectural features of several manufacturing buildings still in use that were built at the turn of the previous century.  This collection encourages viewers to consider those, from both past and present, who have contributed to create West Hartford’s beauty and character.
